MAP & RATHA YATRA PARADE

PARADE BEGINS AT 4:05 PM AND ENDS AT 5:00 PM

This re-enactment of the famous Ratha Yatra parade, also celebrated as the Festival of Chariots, is rooted in ancient India's bhakti or devotional tradition. It has been observed annually for more than 3,000 years in the holy city of Jagannatha Puri in Orissa, India, making it one of the world's longest-running street festival.

It is celebrated in major city centers around the world, including New York City's Fifth Avenue and London's Piccadilly Circus.

Parade Route Details

  • The procession will follow the red route around the Love's Travel Stops Stage and Great Lawn
  • 12 numbered stations will be set up around the Great Lawn for various activities
  • Main entrance is via the green route from Oklahoma City Blvd
  • Paid parking is available in the designated blue area
  • The procession starts and ends near the Scissortail Park pin marker
